I have been to many saunas over the years, yet this is the one I decided to review first, as it really takes the prize.

First and foremost – the men. Gosh, what hot men live in this part of the world! The opinions in this review are, inevitably, somewhat subject to personal experience. But I really believe that most readers are going to leave this sauna with the same positively skewered point of view.

In my experiences, there were both older-for-older and older-for-younger in this sauna. There were very few young men in the sauna, making this a paradise for those who appreciate mature men. And I stand by this recommendation to the older-for-younger crowd, as those youngens that do venture to this sauna will do so for good reason.

The sauna is extremely well located: close to metro stations, in the heart of the gay nightlife district, not far from tourist attractions either, with a decent number of hotels nearby, so no-one has to venture far.

For those who don’t like/fair well with steps, this place hardly has any of them – it is, bar the one set of two stairs that I remember, all on the one floor. Facilities include a dry sauna, a steam room, a good number of cabins, a video room, a dark room, showers and lockers as per usual, and at the end of the sauna a jacuzzi and swimming pool. This sauna attracts a few bigger gentlemen, or ‘bears’ as they’re commonly known, but they are drawn to that jacuzzi/swimming pool water like it was made of honey, and generally stay there. Therefore, if they take your fancy, I recommend bringing a snorkel.

Opening times are 10 am till 10pm daily. Some men do arrive early and are in and out very quickly (pun intended), as is the case in many places, particularly for hot married men. I don’t want you to miss out on one despite mutual attraction the way I did – but then again, que será, será.

The main interiors in this sauna are painted with a kind of clear blue which creates a nice ambience. The artwork was also pleasant.

The staff were very nice and helpful. I really couldn’t recommend this place enough!
